“You may have to walk through your own darkened doorways and actively turn on the light to conquer whatever frightens you.”
This book by Dr. John F. DeMartini is perhaps one of the best “self-help” books that I have ever read. Not only does it offer some of the most inspiring passages, but it has instructions and easy ways to start changing the life to how you want it and becoming the best possible version of yourself. It took me a while to read this book; I read it on the rooftop, in a bathtub, in bed and on the bus. It is dense. But if you soak in the words and take them at their value, it is easy to begin making small changes after each page is read. I am planning on drawing my own life path and hanging up inspiring quotes and mantras in my room that I learned from this book. Each chapter begins with a beautiful quote and with a title that follows the theme of the book, including “Do what you love and love what you do.” What a simple concept that we all tend to make so very complicated!
Let me know what you think of this book and any ways, small or big, that it has helped evolve you and your life.
