“Life is Brutiful.”

I am not sure how I stumbled across the brilliant human that is Glennon Doyle Melton, however I know that my life has changed because of the words of this wise and wonderful woman. I know that I first watched her TED talk titled “Lessons from the Mental Hospital” and absolutely loved it. She is honest, real, hilarious and is one of those people you know that the world is better because of. She talks about being honest, leaving our shame at the door and how sharing our secrets and stories to the world is what possibly may change it forever. She is perhaps known best for starting her blog, momestary, which turned into a book Carry On, Warrior and it’s sequel that is on my list, Love Warrior. #IWantToBeGlennonWhenIGrowUp

Carry on, Warrior is Glennon’s story. And while it is not mine to tell, I want you all to go out and buy this book and consume it as fast as possible and then share it with all your friends and then read it again, again and again and highlight the sentences that just scream YES, THIS IS LIFE. This is pretty much every sentence by the way.

While this is a book about faith, family, marriage (I just looked up how to spell marriage…clearly not in my near future), addiction, mental health, adulting, honesty, dishonesty and the struggle being oh so very real….it is mostly just a story about being a human. And it reminds me of one of my most favorite quotes: “To the world you may be someone, but to someone you are the world.”
