Feeling Free in France (But it was not free)

“Oh, let’s get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France…”

I didn’t know what I was going to write about in this post, until after typing “feeling free in France” and then having the second thought that it was ironically not free. There is a cost to everything and often it is the unseen costs that have the largest impacts. I touched down in Nice, France yesterday after traveling for what seemed like forever. I love traveling, however sleeping upright in a confined place thousands of feet in the air….not so much! This break couldn’t have come sooner enough! I was starting to feel suffocated and overwhelmed with school and couldn’t have been more excited to embark on this adventure!

I have absolutely no plan during my time here in Nice and am loving it so far. Usually when I travel, I have a plan with activities scheduled and people to see, but this trip I am totally playing it by ear.

There is a certain beauty and a feeling of unparalleled exhilaration when arriving to a place you’ve never been, soaking in the sites and sounds and smells that for me is the ultimate feeling of being alive.

Stay tuned!

Au Revoir,

Kaila
