“Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather.”
Snow has arrived in Boulder, Colorado! Well, technically it did as it is all gone now. The magic of this state and the changing seasons that go from week to week and day to day. On Wednesday we were all informed that it was going to snow on Thursday which was hard to believe given that it was in the upper sixties and there was nothing but clouds and sunshine.
But if there is one thing about Colorado you should know by now, it’s that it is always ready to surprise us at any given moment! I was sitting in my astronomy class on Thursday and after the class finished around noon, I walked outside the the flutter of snowflakes started and before I knew it there was 2 inches on the ground and growing! The snow falling was like falling asleep, slowing at first…then all at once (thanks John Green). I made a cool time lapse of the sunrise of Friday morning from my bedroom window. What a view! I also proceed to get ice cream in 30 degree weather with a friend because ice-cream is ALWAYS appropriate. I can’t wait for what this week has to bring with the Thanksgiving holidays!
I am thankful for an infinite amount of things in my life including ice-cream.
What about you?
